Policies and Cancellations

STANDARD BOOKINGS - Reservations are made online with a credit card. Reservations require a credit card and payment in full at time of booking. NO CASH is accepted. Each guest must be registered.
- You may cancel your reservation for no charge** until 4:00 pm 48 hours prior to committed booking. We will charge you 50% of your remaining stay if you must cancel after this deadline. If you do not cancel your reservation before 2:00 PM on the date of your scheduled arrival, your credit card will be charged 1 night's stay plus applicable taxes.
- Please note that a change in the length or dates of your reservation may result in a rate change.
SPECIAL - "Book 2 nights and get an extra night FREE!" - This special applies to guests who book three or more contiguous nights at regular rates. One night rate at lessor value will be refunded to the guest upon check-out. Offer not valid for bookings Dec 22, 2023 thru Jan 2, 2024, May 23 - May 27, 2024, Jun 28 - July 4, 2024, Aug 1 - Aug 5, 2024, Aug 30 - Sep 2, 2024, Oct 10 - 14, 2024, Dec 20 2024 - Jan 2, 2025. Maximum one night refund per month. Can not be combined with any other offer(s).
QUILT/CRAFT PACKAGE – Guest(s) must call or email to book package stay. Standard package pricing is based on single or double occupancy, includes use of the common room/kitchenette, and includes meals served in a separate sunroom. A “No-Meal” package is offered as an option and includes use of the common room/kitchenette only. Bookings are charged to guest credit card one week in advance of planned stay. You may cancel your reservation for no charge** up to one (1) week prior to committed booking after which a 50% non-refundable fee is applied. A cancellation within 48 hours prior to scheduled arrival will result in forfeiture of the full package booking costs. Prior to departure (check-out), all dishes, utensils and surfaces must be cleaned and returned as they were originally found. Otherwise, a cleaning fee may be applied equally to all package guests.
SKILLED TRADES and EXTENDED STAYS (multi-week stays) - Please call 226-371-0211 for rates based on your length of stay. Weekly bookings are charged to guest credit card one week in advance of planned stay. Notification of cancellation must be given one week in advance, otherwise 50% of the following week will be charged**.
No shift splitting (sharing a room with a person working opposite shifts) If this occurs, we reserve the right to cancel the remainder of your reservation with no refund.
GROUP BOOKINGS - A group booker is defined as an individual or firm that wishes to book three or more rooms for one or more nights on behalf of other guests. A 50% non-refundable deposit is required at the time of booking. The remaining 50% of the booking will be charged to the credit card on file 30 days prior to planned arrival (check-in). Cancellation of rooms/nights until 4:00pm 48 hours or more prior to planned arrival will be refunded** from the 50% refundable portion of payment received. Cancellations within 48 hours of planned arrival will be refunded** 50% of booking amount. Any cancellation within 24 hours of planned arrival is non-refundable.
**All refunds due to cancellations will be subject to a 7.5% processing fee. This fee covers credit card and system service fees.

Early check-in may be available. Please call to verify availability. A $25 early check-in fee applies. Standard early check-in time is 1:00 pm.
Non-smoking / non-vaping facility – a $200 cleaning fee will be charged if smoking occurs indoors. Outside facilities are provided if you wish to smoke or vape.
We reserve the right to charge damage fees where blatant misuse or abuse is evident. Of course, normal wear and tear is an exception. We appreciate you taking care of our facilities as if they were your own.
NO hourly stays. We are a respectable family-run business.
Quiet time is 10:00 pm - 08:00 am. The neighbours will appreciate your consideration.
Laundry Facilities: Washer and dryer available to Extended Stay (multi-week) guests only. A weekly fee of $10 applies. Guest has the option to opt out. Access hours are posted.
Shared Kitchenette: Facilities available to Extended Stay (multi-week) guests and as part of some Special Packages.
Common Room: Available for rental daily. Maximum 10-person capacity. Common room guests must be registered as room guests unless otherwise pre-arranged with Frog Point Inn management. Regular hours of access: 08:00am - 10:00pm. Guest must call or email to book. Booking will be added to guests' room folio and charged to guest at check-out. Facilities may be available to guest(s) in combination with some Special Packages.
No pets please.
No cooking or use of appliances in the guest room other than what is supplied.
No freshly caught fish or fish cleaning in rooms.
HEALTH, SAFETY and SECURITY
1. Fire Safety - Smoke and CO2 detectors with audible and visual alarms are installed in all rooms and are tested on a regular basis by management. Please do not test these devices yourself otherwise all guests will be alerted and disturbed.
2. Water Safety - Swim at your own risk! Be aware that the St. Clair River has a strong current.
3. Video Monitoring - Premises are monitored for security purposes. Outdoor video surveillance is in place. Video monitoring is also in place within the laundry room.
4. Room Security - All rooms are equipped with automatically updated numeric key entry door locks. The four-digit PIN that you are assigned (and emailed to you at time of on-line check-in) is only known by you as our guest. The assigned PIN is only active for the specific reservation dates and times. Frog Point Inn staff do not know, nor are they able to acquire this number. In the unlikely event that you might lose the assigned PIN, only the Frog Point Inn security officer is able to assist.
TEXT MESSAGE COMMUNICATIONS
Frog Point Inn uses text messaging to communicate with you about your service. We provide a phone number that guests can either call or text for questions, concerns and services related to their stay. By initiating a text message to this number, you agree to allow bi-directional messaging for the duration of your stay as determined by your booking. We will not use messaging for any type of campaign - only ad-hoc support services of our guests. Message and data rates may apply. Please note that text messaging is not entirely secure. No mobile information will be shared with third parties/affiliates for marketing/promotional purposes.
